Clearly the other guy. If you were driving his truck you’d be responsible, but HE was behind the wheel. If he hit you from behind he’d discover the law and insurance companies don’t agree with him either.
I lived in CA for more than 25 years and just like in any other place, each operator of a vehicle has to manage their speed to be able to manage the conditions they are driving in. That includes the weather, traction on the road, and other traffic. Based on that the other were the dumbasses. It should be mentioned that driving like that is almost never any fun and if someone spends a lot of money to change their vehicle they probably want to enjoy driving. After reading your story I wondered why these guys did not pass you if they thought they could make it before the light turned red?

If you have a car that can’t stop very well I think that’s on you!!! Some people simply fail to take responsibility for anything!
