It's funny. I was sharing my glider trip with another friend who informed she she jumped out of a plane in May! I got anxiety watching her video, but I'm happy with tackling what I have so far :-)
Yes, planes are an odd one, I think! I hate looking over the edge at heights but had no problem parachuting out of a plan strapped to an instructor. Nor do I have a problem particularly with abseiling. Weird! So I presume it's my fear of falling/hurting unintentionally that's the problem. Consequences rather than height...?
I have the greatest respect for anyone who faces one of their fears ada beats it.

That speaks volumes. I too have abseiled without fear. I think mine is a fear of the aftermath if I jump as well.
